  • The attorney of David Kaczynski, the brother of the man suspected of being the Unabomber, described the family's efforts in the case. Attorney Tony Bisceglie (Biss-SEGG-lee) told reporters that David had begun to suspect the possibility of his brother's involvement in the Unabomb case last summer, because Theodore had written letters and articles with themes and phraseology similar to the Unabomber, and because he had lived in parts of the country associated with the Unabomber. Bisceglie said that after the Unabomber's manifesto was published last year, David worked with a private investigator and a former FBI behaviour analyst before he went to the FBI.   • Tony Rohr was fired earlier this month for refusing to open his Elkhart, Ind., restaurant on Thanksgiving. He wanted his employees to spend the holiday with their families. The story went viral and boycotts were threatened.

Berwick's group has about 300 vans taking volunteers into neighborhoods throughout the state to knock on more than a million doors each weekend.   • British Prime Minister Tony Blair visits Iraq's new prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, in Baghdad. British officials say the leaders spoke about the eventual departure of foreign forces from Iraq. Maliki has said his top priority is halting insurgent attacks and stemming sectarian violence that has wracked the country.
  • Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan's remains will be taken from the Capitol Rotunda -- where tens of thousands have come to pay last respects -- to the Washington National Cathedral for a national funeral service Friday morning. The list of dignitaries attending includes former presidents Bill Clinton, Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
