Huntsville, AL – Anneliese DeVyldere is an honors student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a school known for its engineering and science programs. She learned about the University while attending Space Camp for Interested Visually Impaired Students (SCI-VIS). SCI-VIS gives participants the Space Camp experience by making space-related equipment accessible with Braille and assistive technology. Anneliese attended the camp three times during high school and says the experience was transformative. The camp helped her to develop leadership skills and to discover her interest in aerospace engineering. As a result, she is now studying to become a technical writer, with the goal of working at NASA, writing about space craft design.
