Vermont Governor Phil Scott is among state, national and international leaders sending well wishes after President Trump revealed he tested positive for the coronavirus.
During his regular coronavirus update Friday morning, Republican Phil Scott, who often differs with President Trump, said it’s a reminder that the virus has no boundaries and everyone must remain vigilant.  “This doesn’t discriminate, doesn’t matter who you are, how powerful you are. This can bring you to your knees.”

Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine called the president’s positive test a teachable moment for the country.  “Testing is not prevention.”

Dr. Levine reported that a golf tournament in Bennington held the weekend of September 19th has resulted in five cases of COVID-19 so far in Vermont and New York.
