Tanglewood Learning Institute Director Sue Elliott

She is being called one of North America’s most innovative music educators. Sue Elliott was appointed Tanglewood Learning Institute Director in August of last year and she is a new face on the scene here at Tanglewood.

Prior to joining The Boston Symphony Orchestra, Sue launched and led the world’s first online professional development, certificate, and accreditation program for private music teachers at all stages of their careers at the Royal Conservatory of Music in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. She has also worked with Seattle Opera and spent 10 years at Houston Grand Opera.

Dr. Alan Chartock is professor emeritus at the University at Albany. He hosts the weekly Capitol Connection series, heard on public radio stations around New York. The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
