A climate solutions summit takes place Saturday at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
The 3rd Annual Climate Summit will focus on reaching New York’s clean energy and climate goals. The summit’s opening panel will feature State Senator Jen Metzger; Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan; an energy and environment official from the governor’s office; the executive director of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York; and Ulster County legislator and Clearwater Environmental Director Manna Jo Greene. The day will include case studies and workshops on such topics as renewable energy storage, clean transportation, regenerative agriculture, climate smart communities, student organizing, movement building and environmental justice. The second annual Zero Emissions Parade kicks off at the close of the conference, at 4.
