Vermont Governor Phil Scott says $1.5 million in additional funding is now available for school safety and security enhancements.
This year the Vermont legislature approved money in the Capital Bill for a second round of funding for the state’s School Safety and Security Grant Program.

Schools may apply for up to $25,000 to improve safety and are responsible for a 25 percent grant match.

Schools that were not funded in the first round and independent schools are eligible to apply.

Last year $4 million in school safety and security grants was made available to 241 Vermont schools.
