The process of producing a Massachusetts state budget for the fiscal year that starts July 1st is proceeding on schedule on Beacon Hill. Unlike last year, when financial uncertainties surrounding the pandemic delayed the final budget for months.
On Tuesday, the Senate Ways and Means Committee recommended a $47.6 billion budget.
It is nearly identical to what the House passed last month. It is about $2 million more than the budget Gov. Charlie Baker proposed.
