The town of North Elba’s Supervisor is retiring from politics after serving the North Country town and the village of Lake Placid for nearly 25 years.
Robi Politi was mayor of Lake Placid from 2001 to 2005 and has served as the surrounding Town of North Elba Supervisor for the last 12 years.
He says his political career has always focused on Lake Placid. “I really have never had an interest in any other political venue other than the Olympic village and this particular community because it’s so special.”
The Town Board held its final 2019 meeting earlier this month. Politi’s term ends December 31st.
