The New York State Department of Parks and Recreation is partnering with Parks & Trails New York for the annual “I Love My Park Day.”

Volunteers are expected to participate in conservation events statewide Saturday.

The Catskill Interpretive Center, the visitor center for Catskill Park, is coordinating multiple projects.  CIC Director Sarah McGinnis says projects will be led by state Department of Environmental Conservation officials.

"Ranging from planting trees, to helping with the removal invasive species around the property and also working on some light trail maintenance; as well as helping in our rain garden of pollinator friendly plants," says McGinnis.

Last year more than 8,000 volunteers took part in projects at 125 state parks, historic sites and public lands throughout the state.  Other parks participating in the area include Million Dollar Beach, Saratoga Spa State Park, FDR State Park, and Walkway over the Hudson.
