WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock reflects on Earth Day, and discusses President Joe Biden's upcoming climate summit with world leaders. Dr. Chartock also comments on reports that the Department of Justice has opened an investigation into the Minneapolis Police Department. Also in the headlines: Biden is planning to formally recognize the massacre of Armenians by the Ottoman Empire in World War I as genocide.

The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
