WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock discusses reports that Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell congratulated President-elect Joe Biden on his victory in the 2020 election Tuesday. Dr. Chartock also discusses the upcoming Senate runoff elections in Georgia, and examines Biden's pick of former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg to lead the Department of Transportation.

The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
