WAMC's Dr. Alan Chartock discusses the House's first open hearing in the Trump impeachment inquiry Wednesday, and considers whether witnesses in the inquiry will impact independent voters in 2020.

Dr. Chartock also questions whether Senate Republicans could dismiss any articles of impeachment against the president, and comments on the historic flooding in Venice, Italy.
