New York state Assemblyman Chris Tague, a Republican from the 102nd District, is running for a second full term. Tague, who is facing a challenge from Democrat Betsy Kraat, is a former dairy farmer, and touts his perspective from rural New York. The district includes parts of Albany, Schoharie, Delaware, Catskill, Otsego and Ulster Counties.

Access to broadband is the first issue listed on Tague's campaign website.

In an interview with WAMC's Southern Adirondack Bureau Chief Lucas Willard, Tague explains the importance of broadband investment during the pandemic.

Lucas Willard is a reporter and host at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, which he joined in 2011.
