The Democratic candidate for Massachusetts governor Martha Coakley will hold a campaign rally in Boston Friday with Michelle Obama.
Coakley said she is looking forward to campaigning with Michelle Obama, who she described as “charming.” The first lady remains a very popular figure according to Western New England University Polling director Tim Vercellotti.
" Having Michelle Obama come to Massachusetts is a stroke of great fortune for Martha Coakley because Michalle Obama's ( poll approval ) numbers are typically much more positive than the President's numbers."
Mrs. Obama will also appear at a fundraiser for Coakley. The latest campaign finance reports show Republican Charlie Baker with six-times as much cash on hand as Coakley.
