A Burlington, Vermont police officer has been arrested on a domestic assault charge after an alleged victim described multiple incidents of abuse.
The Burlington Free Press reports that Ethan Thibault of Hinesburg was taken into custody, processed and jailed after voluntarily meeting with detectives. Thibault is ordered to appear for arraignment in Chittenden Superior Court this morning at 10:30 am. Bail was set at $750.
On Monday evening, an adult female victim obtained a Temporary Relief from Abuse Order against Thibault which was served by State Police Troopers on Monday night in Hinesburg.
