New York State Police say a 68-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the Rhinecliff Amtrak station after being struck by a train over the weekend.
According to police, a preliminary investigation found the victim stepped onto the train tracks around 7:45 a.m. Saturday before being hit.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
