Former Fulton County Judge, DA Louise Sira Dies At 52

A former Fulton County Court Judge and District Attorney has died.

Louise Sira died after a long illness Friday at age 52.

Fulton County Sheriff and former District Attorney Richard Giardino first hired Sira as an Assistant District Attorney in 1994. Sira succeeded Giardino as Fulton County DA from 2002 to 2015 before she was elected to her judicial career.

Sira retired on March 12th.

Giardino described his friend as hardworking, compassionate, and a great team player. In a statement, Giardino said, “She loved Fulton County as Fulton County residents grew to know Louise they loved her back.”
