A bridge over the Adirondack Northway in Saratoga County has been named for a fallen state trooper.

The bridge over the Adirondack Northway at Exit 16 has been named after New York State Trooper Timothy Pratt, who was struck and killed in October 2016 by a passing vehicle while assisting a motorist.

Officials and family members gathered Thursday for a dedication.

A ceremony honoring Trooper Pratt was held at the Ballard Road state police barracks in Wilton.
