NYSERDA Names New CEO
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority has a new president and chief executive officer. Alicia Barton takes over from John Rhodes, who is the new chair of the state Public Service Commission.
Barton comes from the Boston law firm Foaley-Hoag, where she served as co-chair of its energy and clean-tech practice. Barton has also worked for Sun Edison, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. Her job in New York is to lead NYSERDA’s efforts on clean and renewable energy.
