Report: Price Chopper On The Block For $1 Billion
One of the region’s best known companies may be sold. The Reuters News Agency is reporting that talks are underway that could lead to the sale of Price Chopper supermarkets to Albertsons, a national chain.
Price Chopper, which has its corporate headquarters in Schenectady, has stores across the Northeast. The purchase could total $1 billion. Representatives of both companies would not comment.
