Two men were sentenced today in a grisly Albany area murder authorities believe was tied to drug activity. Michael Chmielewski received 22 years to life in prison and Sean Moreland received two to six years in prison.
Moreland’s sentence will run concurrent to an eight-year burglary sentence in a separate crime.
In August 2015, Chmielewski broke into a Colonie hair salon to rob it for drug money and stabbed stylist Jackie Porreca, who died of her injuries. Moreland drove the getaway car.
