Moving Memorial Makes Stop In Halfmoon

The Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall will remain in Halfmoon Town Park until June 6th.

A ceremony marking the wall’s arrival Thursday afternoon was attended by more than 200 Vietnam War veterans, their families, volunteers, and local officials.

The visit is sponsored by the state Senate and Senator Kathy Marchione. Marchione called it a “special, powerful and moving tribute to true heroes, our nation’s fallen Vietnam War Veterans.”

The half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington will return to the region at the Big E in West Springfield this August.
