New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office is investigating the possibility of bid-rigging in SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s development of a dormitory on its campus.
The Times Union reports that SUNY Poly’s CEO Alain Kaloyeros is allegedly a key focus of the investigation. Meanwhile U.S. Attorney for the Southern District Preet Bharara’s office has subpoenaed records from the school as part of a separate investigation into New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion initiative, which deeply involves Kaloyeros.
