Saratoga County Priest James Michael Taylor was sentenced Wednesday for having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl. Taylor served as Deacon and Youth Minister for the Corpus Christi Church in Round Lake. The 30-year-old priest was arrested in April 2014 for child endangerment.
The Times Union reports Taylor was permanently removed from the ministry in the Albany Catholic Diocese for kissing, sending texts and calling a minor. Town Justice James Hughes ordered Taylor to pay $1255 in fines, to provide a DNA sample, and issued an order of protection preventing Taylor from contacting the victim and her family for five years.
