Temporary Housing In Albany For Illegal Immigrants Being Considered

WRBG-TV reports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is assessing a potential site in Albany to process children from Central America who cross the border illegally. Western New York Republican Congressman Chris Collins’ office said the Obama administration is looking into the old Kenwood Academy and Convent, off Southern Boulevard, to house the undocumented children. Federal officials are also looking at using the former Walmart in the Town of Sweden, near Brockport as additional temporary housing. The issue has been debated fiercely in recent weeks.
