Albany, NY – Well the Knicks have lost four straight...

Last night in New York, Steve Nash poured in 26 and dished out 11 assists, as the Suns scorched the sputtering Knicks 91-88.

In Boston, Rajon Rondo netted 21, as the Celtics snapped a five-game losing skid with a 96-73 win over Toronto.

Elsewhere, Washington beat Oklahoma City 105-102, the Clippers edged Dallas 91-89, Denver downed Philadelphia 108-104 in OT, San Antonio outlasted Orlando 85-83 in OT, Boston bounced Toronto 96-73, New Jersey nipped Golden State 107-100, Memphis held off New Orleans 93-87, Minnesota got by Detroit 93-85, Atlanta soared past Portland 92-89, and Sacramento dumped Indiana 92-88.

To Top 25 college hoops, Nebraska edged Indiana 70-69, Cincinnati upset U-Conn 70-67, UNLV routed TCU 101-78, San Diego State dumped New Mexico 75-70, Mississippi surprised Mississippi State 75-68, Creighton downed Missouri State 66-65, Kansas State dropped Texas 84-80, and Murray State remains one of two undefeated teams in Division I, after rallying to beat Morehead State 66-60. The other unbeaten? Top-ranked Syracuse.

On the Women's side, Baylor topped Texas Tech 72-64, Duke downed Georgia Tech 79-62, and Louisville blew out Providence 64-48.

To the ice, Chicago skated past Buffalo 6-2, Washington blanked Montreal 3-0, Colorado rallied to beat Florida 4-3, and Anaheim routed Phoenix 6-2.

In baseball news, the Rangers and Yu Darvish, who's considered Japan's best pitcher, have agreed to a six-year deal worth $60 million dollars.

At the Australian Open, Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga both advanced to Round 3, winning in straight sets.

In Women's action, Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Vera Zvonareva all coasted into the third round.

And in NFL news, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missed practice yesterday with an injury to his left shoulder, while Giants quarterback Eli Manning sat out practice with the stomach bug. From the 'no kidding' department, both are expected to play in their conference championship games this weekend.
