Elsewhere, Kansas blew out Baylor 92-74, Missouri crushed Texas A&M 70-51, and Marquette stormed back to beat Louisville 74-63.
On the Women's side, U-Conn demolished North Carolina 86-35 and Maryland edged Virginia 68-61.
To the NBA, last night in New York, Ryan Anderson poured in 30, as the Magic fooled the Knicks 102-93.
In Boston, Russel Westbrook and Kevin Durant combined for 54, as the Thunder beat the Celtics 97-88.
In Los Angeles, Chauncey Billups netted 20, as the Clippers closed on a 20-10 run to close out the Nets 101-91.
Elsewhere, the Lakers edged Dallas 73-70, Memphis routed Chicago 102-86, Philadelphia dropped Milwaukee 94-82, Houston whipped Washington 114-106, Cleveland got by Charlotte 102-94, Portland downed New Orleans 84-77, Atlanta topped Toronto 93-84, and Minnesota slipped past Sacramento 99-86.
On the ice, Detroit blanked Buffalo 5-0, St. Louis shutout Dallas 1-0, Boston skated past Florida 3-2, Phoenix crushed Colorado 6-1, Nashville blanked the Islanders 3-0, and Winnipeg shutout Ottawa 2-0.
In baseball news, reliever Joel Zumaya and the Twins have agreed to a one year deal. The Phillies and pitcher Joel Pineiro have agreed on a minor league deal. And the Red Sox have signed pitcher Vicente Padilla to a minor league deal.
And in tennis, top-ranked Novak Djokovic had little trouble advancing to the second round at the Australian Open, breezing through Paolo Lorenzi in straight sets. David Ferrer, Andy Murray, Andy Roddick, Mardy Fish, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal also cruised into Round 2.
On the Women's side, Vera Zvonareva, Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka, and Caroline Wozniacki are among the opening round winners. Sam Stosur was knocked out.
