Albany, NY – Well how's Kobe's wrist? Just ask the Knicks...

Last night in Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant netted 28 points, grabbed four boards, and chipped in six assists, as the Lakers cruised past the Knicks 99-82. Bryant has been playing with a torn ligament in his right wrist.

In Orlando, Dwight Howard scored 16 points and pulled down 24 rebounds, as the Magic crushed the Nets 94-78.

Elsewhere, Oklahoma City edged Dallas 104-102, Houston hammered San Antonio 105-85, Portland downed Denver 111-102, and Chicago held off Sacramento 108-98.

To the ice, John Tavares scored a goal and added an assist, as the Islanders skated to a 3-1 win over Calgary.

Elsewhere, Philadelphia doubled up Pittsburgh 4-2, Tampa Bay skated past Montreal 4-3, Columbus dumped Dallas 4-1, Carolina got past Toronto 4-3, Colorado dropped Phoenix 3-2, Minnesota held off Edmonton 4-3, and Winnipeg blanked Los Angeles 1-0.

In college football, Terrance Ganaway rushed for 200 yards and five touchdowns, as 15th-ranked Baylor rallied from 18 points down to beat Washington 67-56, in the Alamo Bowl. The 123 combined total points and 1,397 combined total yards are the most ever in a regulation bowl game.

In the Champs Sports Bowl, E.J. Manuel tossed two-second half touchdown passes, rallying Florida State to an 18-14 win over Notre Dame. The Seminoles have won four straight bowl games.

Among Top 25 college hoops, Rutgers shocked Florida 85-83 in double overtime, Michigan crushed Penn State 71-53, and Harvard beat Boston College 67-46.

On the Women's side, U-Conn demolished Fairfield 93-40, Maryland downed Delaware 85-76, and Georgetown held off Vermont 65-53.

And in baseball news, the White Sox and pitcher John Danks have agreed on a five-year, $65 million contract through 2016.
