Albany, NY – Well the Seahawks are still mathematically alive to make the NFL playoffs. Meanwhile, the Eagles have hit rock bottom...

Kicking off Week 13 last night in Seattle, Vince Young tossed a career-high four interceptions, as the Eagles turned in another dreadful performance, dropping a 31-14 decision to the Seahawks. The now 4-8 Eagles have taken over sole possession of last place in the NFC East.

In other NFL news, the Vikings have waived quarterback Donovan McNabb, Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain has been arrested on weapons and assault charges, and Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell has accused members of the Giants defense of quitting in the blowout loss to the Saints.

To Top 25 college hoops, Kentucky blasted St. John's 81-59, and Georgetown upset Alabama 57-55.

On the Women's side, Duke dumped Purdue 64-53, and Miami cruised past Michigan State 76-60.

To the NHL, last night Raleigh, Ryan McDonagh, Marian Gaborik and Sean Avery all scored during a five minute span of the second period, as the Rangers rallied to beat the Hurricanes 5-3. New York's won four straight.

Elsewhere, Pittsburgh skated past Washington 2-1, Columbus held off Calgary 4-3, Dallas rallied to beat Ottawa 3-2, Winnipeg blanked Phoenix 1-0, Nashville outlasted Vancouver 6-5, Los Angeles got by Florida 2-1, and San Jose downed Montreal 4-3 in a shootout.

In college football, 22nd-ranked West Virginia beat South Florida 30-27, to clinch a share of the Big East championship.

Off the field, Penn State says it will donate $1.5 million in postseason bowl revenue, to a pair of sex-crimes advocacy groups as it deals with the aftermath of sex abuse allegations against former football coach Jerry Sandusky.

And in baseball news, the Red Sox introduced their new manager Bobby Valentine at a news conference yesterday at Fenway Park. The 61-year old Valentine says that he's honored and humbled to be chosen to lead a team with such a tremendous tradition.
