Albany, NY – Well Jerry Sandusky maintains his innocence...

In an interview with NBC, Sandusky says he is innocent of the child sex abuse allegations that have rocked Penn State and cost Joe Paterno his job. But the former defensive coordinator admitted to horsing around and touching kids. Sandusky was once considered Paterno's heir apparent. He is charged with sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year span, with several of the alleged assaults occurring on Penn State property.

To the NFL, where Aaron Rodgers produced another four-touchdown performance, pushing Green Bay's record to a perfect 9-0, as the Packers routed the Vikings 45-7. The Packers now own a 3-game lead over Detroit and Chicago in the NFC North, while Minnesota slips to 2-7.

In other NFL news, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has two broken ribs, and his status for Sunday night's game against the Giants is uncertain.

In NBA news, faced with a "take it or leave it" type of ultimatum from the league, the players opted to leave it. Union officials rejected the league's latest proposal that came with the threat of a worse offer, if the players didn't approve. Instead, the players union is planning to decertify and take its fight with the league to court. The players are planning to file an antitrust lawsuit against the league. NBA commissioner David Stern responded by calling the players actions "a charade," and says the entire season is in jeopardy.

In Top 25 college basketball, fourth-ranked U-Conn cruised past Wagner 78-66, and fifth-ranked Syracuse hammered Manhattan 92-56 - the Orange will play Albany at the Carrier Dome tonight. The Great Danes beat Brown 77-68 last night.

In baseball news, former Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon and the Phillies have completed a $50 million dollar, four-year contract. It's the largest contract ever for a reliever.

And on the ice, Winnipeg topped Tampa Bay 5-2, Philadelphia dumped Carolina 5-3, and Buffalo skated past Montreal 3-2 in a shootout.
