New Paltz, NY – Nestled in the heart of rural Dutchess County, Millbrook Winery is regarded as a "must see destination". The winery is holding its 21st annual Harvest Party this weekend. Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Dave Lucas has more...

Millbrook Winery is located in a renovated Dutch-hip dairy barn with spectacular views of the vineyards and the Catskill Mountains. The first vines on the 30-acre vineyard were planted in 1981.

Stacy Hudson is Milbrook Winery's Director of Marketing. She notes that in the past 15 years or so the Winery has been working with various chefs out of New York City who come up the Hudson Valley to create unique fall luncheons to pair with the wines.

This year, Chef Angelo Sosa of Bravo TV's "Top Chef: All Stars" and owner of Social Eatz in New York, will be on hand to provide the food to go with Millbrook wines at the October 15th event. He will be cooking alongside staff from the Poughkeepsie restaurant Bull & Buddha.

Bull & Buddha's Alex Libin explains his restaurant is committed to using local ingredients. Millbrook's winemaker and vineyard manager John Graziano says conditions are good in the Hudson Valley for growing grapes: he adds the local wine industry is growing too. Graziano says that he produces approximately 10,000 - 12,000 cases of wine annually...

Stacy Hudson points out that Millbrook has become a popular tourist destination. The winery is a 90-minute drive from Albany or New York City.
