Lake Placid, NY – Adirondack Life magazine hosted a series of forums on the future of communities in the Adirondacks. They were spawned by an article in their October issue titled "The Other Endangered Species" penned Brian Mann. He says it is time to focus on the human resources within the park and revamp regulatory and economic policies within the Blue Line. Adirondack North Country Association Executive Director Kate Fish was a panelist at Wednesday night's discussion.

Panelist Jim Herman is a retired management consultant from Keene, who is working on a separate project assessing the future of the Park.

Adirondack Council Spokesman John Sheehan says among the ideas are helping communities empower their future planning.

The forums on the future of Adirondack communities were held in Newcomb and Lake Placid
