Albany, NY – Well Big Blue dealt a Big Blow...

Yesterday in Philadelphia, Eli Manning threw four touchdown passes, including two to Victor Cruz, as the Giants blitzed the Eagles 29-16. Eagles quarterback Michael Vick suffered a broken right hand in the loss - no word on his status for Week 4.

In Buffalo, Rian Lindell drilled a 28-yard field goal as time expired, giving the Bills a 34-31 win over the Patriots. Buffalo had lost 15 straight against New England.

In Oakland, Darren McFadden rumbled for 171 yards and two touchdowns against Rex Ryan's vaunted defense, as the Raiders upset the Jets 34-24.

Rounding out the NFL scores from Week 3... It was Detroit 26, Minnesota 23; New Orleans 40, Houston 33; Carolina 16, Jacksonville 10; Green Bay 27, Chicago 17; Tampa Bay 16, Atlanta 13; Tennessee 17, Denver 14; Cleveland 17, Miami 16; San Francisco 13, Cincinnati 8; Baltimore 37, St. Louis 7; San Diego 20, Kansas City 17; Seattle 13, Arizona 10; and Pittsburgh 23, Indianapolis 20.

To baseball, in the Bronx, Jacoby Ellsbury's 14th inning homer lifted the Red Sox over the Yankees 7-4 in the second game of a doubleheader. New York won the opener 6-2. The split means Boston's AL wild-card lead over Tampa Bay, who beat Toronto 5-2, is just one game with three to play.

Elsewhere in the AL, Texas tattooed Seattle 12-5, Oakland edged the Angels 6-5, the White Sox got by Kansas City 2-1, Minnesota dumped Cleveland 6-4, and Detroit bounced Baltimore 10-6.

Over to the NL, the Dodgers dropped San Diego 6-2, Arizona stopped San Francisco 5-2, Colorado clobbered Houston 19-3, Philadelphia hammered the Mets 9-4, Milwaukee held off Florida 9-5, Cincinnati dumped Pittsburgh 5-4, St. Louis beat the Cubs 3-2, and Washington whipped Atlanta 3-0. The Braves lead in the NL Wild Card race is down to a single game over the Cardinals.
