Lake Placid, NY – Attorney General Eric Holder was the keynote speaker for the Norther Border Summit held in Lake Placid. The nation's top law enforcement officer spoke for just over 10 minutes, telling US and District Attorneys that a new initiative is in the works between the U.S. and Canada that would designate officers who could work investigations on both sides of the border.

Attorney General Holder said that it has never been more difficult for prosecutors to do the work that needs to be done. New Hampshire U.S. Attorney John Kacavas says much of that is simply due to resource allocation.
Details of the pilot program were not disclosed during the Attorney General's speech.
