Albany, NY – Well Miami has evened the Eastern Conference final at one game apiece...
In Chicago last night, Lebron James poured in nine of his game-high 29 points over final four and a half minutes, as the Heat dumped the Bulls 85-75 in Game 2. The series shifts to Miami for Game 3 on Sunday.
The Western Conference final continues tonight with Game 2 between the Mavericks and Thunder. Dallas leads 1-0.
To the ice... In Vancouver, Daniel Sedin scored two power-play goals, as the Canucks routed the Sharks 7-3 in Game 2. Vancouver leads the Western Conference final 2-0. Game 3 is tomorrow.
The Eastern Conference final between the Bruins and Lightning shifts to Tampa Bay tonight for Game 3. The series is knotted at one.
To baseball... In Baltimore, Robinson Cano doubled home two runs in the 15th, lifting the Yankees over the Orioles 4-1. Bartolo Colon scattered three hits over eight shutout innings, but earns a no decision.
In Boston, Jarrod Saltalamacchia doubled home the game's only run, as the Red Sox blanked Detroit 1-0. Boston's won five straight.
Elsewhere, the White Sox shutout Cleveland 1-0, Tampa Bay topped Toronto 6-5, Texas got by Kansas City 5-4, Minnesota downed Oakland 4-3, and Seattle whipped the Angels 3-0.
Over to the NL Jonathan Niese tossed seven shutout innings, as the Mets blanked Washington 3-0. New York's won 8 of 12.
Elsewhere, Philadelphia doubled up Colorado 2-1, San Francisco beat the Dodgers 8-5, Arizona edged Atlanta 5-4 in 11, Pittsburgh blanked Cincinnati 5-0, the Cubs clipped Florida 7-5, St. Louis dropped Houston 5-1, and Milwaukee held off San Diego 5-2.
And in golf, eighth-ranked Tiger Woods will fall out of the top 10 next week, ending a streak of being in the top 10 for 14 consecutive years.
