To baseball... In Tampa Bay, Alex Rodriguez homered twice as the Yankees downed the Rays 6-2, snapping New York's six-game losing skid.

Elsewhere in the AL, Cleveland cruised past Kansas City 7-3, Oakland routed the Angels 14-0, the White Sox edged Texas 4-3, Minnesota doubled up Seattle 2-1, and the Orioles-Red Sox and Tigers-Blue Jays were postponed due to rain.

Over to the NL, Atlanta got by Houston 3-1 in 11, St. Louis topped Philadelphia 2-1, Cincinnati rallied past the Cubs 7-5, Colorado clipped San Francisco 5-3, the Dodgers blanked Milwaukee 3-0, Arizona dumped San Diego 6-1, and the Mets-Marlins and Pirates-Nationals were washed out.

In the NBA draft lottery last night, Cleveland has been awarded the top draft pick for the first time since 2003, when they gambled on some high school kid out of Akron, Ohio... named Lebron James. Minnesota, Utah, Cleveland again at four, and Toronto round out the Top 5.

And sad news in baseball... Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew has lost his battle with cancer. Killibrew, who played for the Senators, Twins and Royals, hit 573 career home runs, good for 11th on the all-time home run list. Harmon Killibrew was 74.
