Tonight, Game 5 in Miami, the Heat will try wrap up their series against a battered Celtics squad. Miami leads three games to one.
Also tonight, Memphis visits Oklahoma City for Game 5, with their series knotted at two.
From the hardwood to the ice... in Detroit, Henrik Zetterberg and Valtteri Filppula scored less than two minutes apart in the third, rallying the Red Wings over San Jose 3-1. Detroit's won three straight, forcing a decisive Game 7 tomorrow.
To baseball... in Colorado, Mike Pelfrey ripped a tie-breaking two run double and picked up the win, as the Mets nipped the Rockies 4-3. They've won four of their last six.
In other NL action, Florida edged Philadelphia 2-1, Washington held off Atlanta 7-6, the Dodgers pounded Pittsburgh 10-3, San Francisco blanked Arizona 1-0, Milwaukee topped San Diego 8-6, Cincinnati got by Houston 7-3, and St. Louis beat the Cubs 6-4.
Over to the AL... in New York, Freddy Garcia allowed one run on six hits over six innings, as the Yankees downed Kansas City 3-1. New York's won three of its last four.
In Toronto, David Cooper hit his first major league homer and drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th, as the Blue Jays beat the Red Sox 7-6, snapping Boston's three game win streak.
Elsewhere, Baltimore outlasted Seattle 7-6 in 13, Texas topped Oakland 7-2, Detroit dumped Minnesota 10-2, the Angels dropped the White Sox 6-2, and Cleveland beat Tampa Bay 5-4 extending its home winning streak to 14.
