Michael Mele was arraigned Tuesday for probation violations

Newburgh, NY – Michael Mele of Newburgh, NY the man under investigation in connection with the disappearance of Laura Garza of Brooklyn, was arraigned Tuesday in Newburgh Town Court on a charge of violation of Orange County probation for not reporting a change of address as a registered sex offender. He was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail or $300,000 bond by Town Justice Richard Clarino. WAMC's Hank Gross has more.
