Highland and Poughkeepsie, NY – The massive Poughkeepsie-Highland railroad bridge has been abandoned since the 70s. But Walkway Over the Hudson hopes to have the mile and a quarter long structure open for pedestrians and bicycles by 2009 - the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's historic trip up the river. A June 23rd bike tour is planned to benefit that project.
