Albany, NY – Sweeping Changes may be in store for New York's Racing Industry... According to a report on the website run by racing publication "BLOODHORSE" New York may scrap the current bidding process to operate Aqueduct, Belmont and Saratoga. Aqueduct would be put up for sale. Karl O'Farrell, CEO of Capital Play, doesn't see the wisdom in closing Aqueduct.

O'Farrel and other officials with Capital Play, which offered the highest guaranteed bid for New York State's thoroughbred racing franchise, bringst its plan before the public tonight at 7:00 at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga.

Meanwhile, NYRA has launched internet wagering.

Capital District Bureau Chief Dave Lucas reports.
