Albany, NY – U2's Bono joined Senator Hillary Clinton, Democratic Congresswoman Nita Lowey of Westchester and Republican Congressman Spencer Bachus of Alabama, in a conference call to launch the Education for All Act of 2007. The legislation would add billions in US aid to overseas education programs. Senator Clinton says the bill would expand education for the estimated 77 million children worldwide who are not enrolled in primary school with the goal of Univesal Basic Education by 2015.
