Senator Asks Governor to Expedite Cell Tower Siting

Plattsburgh, NY – There have been two fatal accidents on the Adirondack Northway in the last month that have brought into question the need for cellular phone service along the highway. In both incidents, emergency responders believe the deaths might have been prevented if cell calls could have been made. The state senator representing the region has written Governor Spitzer asking he waive protocols to enable immediate placement of temporary towers.
