Safety on the job

Albany, NY – Awareness of safety on the job and hazard prevention in New York in the last century has increased--especially after 9/11. A statewide public health collective has addressed occupational healthcare since 1987, but lawmakers and clinicians agree that it needs strengthening. Meanwhile, programs in the heart of state government and the capital region are drawing attention to work-related injuries and illnesses.
