Albany, NY – The State University of New York at Albany recently completed a national study revealing that women hold fewer than a quarter of the top jobs in state governments. The study by the Center for Women in Government and Civil Society found that the female presence in state legislatures has not progressed much. But there has been a notable increase in the number of women on the bench and in the judiciary.
