Albany, N.Y. – New York State plans to purchase more than a quarter million acres of conservation easements in the Adirondack Park. It will be obtained in three phases. The first phase was completed Thursday, when the state and International Paper closed on a deal to permanently protect and grant public access to 41-thousand acres of Adirondack forest lands.
