Advocates Concerned About Proposed Food Stamp Funding Cuts
Plattsburgh, NY – The U-S House recently voted to cut funding to the federal food stamp program. The proposal now moves to a House-Senate Conference committee. Anti-hunger advocates fear that the proposed cuts in the food stamp program will aggravate growing hunger problems in New York and Vermont. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
