Poughkeepsie, NY – About six-thousand athletes from across New York are headed for the Hudson Valley as The Empire State Games get underway this week. Area colleges are hosting a number of the athletes for the five-day event, and college officials say security is tight. WAMC's Hudson Valley Bureau Chief Allison Dunne has a preview.
