Buchanan, NY – The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has rejected a petition calling for backup power to emergency sirens at nuclear power plants across the country. Petitioners in the Hudson Valley had called for such backup regarding Westchester County's Indian Point. Now, the petitioners are weighing their next move.
