A man from Lanesborough, Massachusetts has been convicted on multiple counts related to child pornography.

The Berkshire County District Attorney’s office says that Robert Dufur, 37 was sentenced to four to five years in state prison followed by five years’ probation.

“Newbury Police Department led an undercover investigation of Dufur in which Dufur sent obscene material to an officer posing on social media as a young teenage girl," said DA spokesperson Andrew McKeever. "Pittsfield Police arrested Dufur on December 1, 2018. Police found Dufur in possession of child pornography and evidence that he sent inappropriate photos to a young girl in another state and solicited the girl for obscene material in return.”

The DA’s office says none of the girls targeted lived in Berkshire County.
