UMass Amherst Researcher Looks At Face Mask Sterilization
With personal protective equipment in high demand and in short supply during the coronavirus pandemic, some hospitals have been reusing face masks.
Unions representing nurses have questioned whether masks can be decontaminated and safely reused.
Richard Peltier, an associate professor at UMass Amherst, received a federal grant to investigate.
